Breaded Pork Mushroom Melt

Maple Leaf Pork Cutlet 25 Each 25 Each
Canola Oil 30 ml 1 fl oz
Mushrooms, sliced 300 ml 1.3 cups
Margarine, Soft 100 ml 3.4 fl oz
Garlic Powder 30 ml 1 fl oz
Cream Sauce (poultry based) 900 ml 3.8 cups
Mozerella Cheese 525 g 18.4 oz


  • 1. In a pre-heated pot, melt the margarine and add the sliced mushrooms, once sauteed, add garlic poweder and cream sauce. Simmer for 15 minutes to combine flavours.
  • 2. Lay out pork cutlets on a baking sheet that has been lightly greased. Bake breaded pork cutlets to an internal temperature of 165 F (60 C).
  • 3. For service, laddle mushroom cream sauce (45 ml/1..5 fl oz) over each pork cutlet and top with mozerella cheese slice. Place tray back into oven under a broil setting to melt and lightly brown the tops of the pork cutlet stacks.
  • 4. Garnish with a few slices of sauteed mushrooms on top of stack (optional and not included in the nutritional analysis).

Suggested Accompaniments

Serve with onion roasted potatoes or homefries, and steamed sweet green peas and carrots (not included in the nutritional analysis).
