Oriental Meatballs

Maple Leaf, Cooked, Frozen Meatballs 1.75 kg 3.9 lbs
Sweet and sour sauce, prepared 1 l 4.2 cups
Pineapple chunks in juice 800 ml 3.4 cups
Vinegar, white or cider 125 ml 4.2 Fl oz
Soya sauce, light 10 ml 2 tsp
Green peppers, chopped 225 g 7.9 oz
Pepper, black 15 ml 1 tbsp
Steam Fried Crunchy Chow Mein Noodles Garnish Garnish


  • 1. Place Maple Leaf Meatballs in steam table pan. Cover and thaw in refrigerator.
  • 2. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
  • 3. Pour sauce over meatballs.
  • 4. Cover and bake in 350°F (180°C) oven 55-60 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 170°F (75°C). Garnish with crunchy noodles. Note: May also be cooked on stove top.

Suggested Accompaniments

Garnish with Steam Fried Crunchy Chow Mein Noodles.

Serve with cooked rice, pasta, egg noodles or mashed potatoes and a colourful vegetable.
