Pork Chops and Caramelized Apples

Pork Loin Chops 25 Each 25 Each
Garlic, minced 5 mL 1 tsp
Black Pepper, ground 5 mL 1 tsp
Salt 15 mL 1 Tbsp
Butter (or margarine) 25 mL 0.9 fl oz
Brown Sugar 60 mL 2 fl oz
Apple Cider Vinegar 60 mL 2 fl oz
Apples, fresh, sliced 2 L 8.5 cups
Onions, fresh, diced or sliced 750 mL 3.2 cups


  • 1. Preheat oven to 177°C (350°F).
  • 2. In large bowl, combine garlic, rosemary, pepper, salt, butter, brown sugar, vinegar. Stir to mix and add apple slices and onions. Toss to coat.
  • 3. Place Pork Loin Chops on baking sheets. Top with apple mixture spreading evenly over chops. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes or until pork reaches 165°F (74°C).

Suggested Accompaniments

Garnish with a dash of ground rosemary. Serve on bed of mashed potatoes with side serving of steamed greens (nutritional analysis not included in totals).
