Sausage and Vegetable Saute

Maple Leaf Cooked Country Pork Sausage 2.2 Kg 4.8 lbs
Olive Oil 30 ml 1 fl oz
Ginger, fresh, minced 5 ml 1 tsp
Garlic, minced 5 ml 1 tsp
Vegetable Stock 50 ml 1.7 fl oz
Broccoli Florets 500 g 1.1 lbs
Yellow Peppers, fresh, sliced 500 ml 2.1 cups
Red Peppers, fresh, sliced 500 ml 2.1 cups
Carrots, fresh, julienned 750 ml 3.2 cups
Red Onions, fresh, sliced 750 ml 3.2 cups
Mushrooms, fresh, halved 750 ml 3.2 cups
Sesame Oil 5 ml 1 tsp
Salt 5 ml 1 tsp
Black Pepper, ground 2 ml 0.4 tsp
Soya Sauce 15 ml 1 tbsp


  • 1. In large pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat for 2 minutes. Add ginger, garlic, vegetable stock, broccoli, peppers, carrots, onions and mushrooms. Cook for 6 to 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  • 2. Add sausage and continue to cook until sausage is 165°F (74°C). Add salt, pepper, sesame oil and soya sauce. Serve immediately.

Suggested Accompaniments

Garnish with finely chopped green onions (included in nutritional analysis).

Serve with rice noodles or steamed rice.
