Turkey Banger and Mash

Turkey Sasuage Links (28 g each) 75 each 75 each
Onions, Carmelized 750 g 1.7 lbs
Potatoes, Peeled, Raw 2.5 Kg 5.5 lbs
Margarine, Soft 125 ml 4.2 fl oz
Salt 5 ml 1 tsp
Milk, 2% 200 ml 6.8 fl oz
Poultry Gravy 1.125 L 4.8 cups


  • 1. Prepare the mashed potatoes by boiling the potatoes until cooked. Whip together with milk, margarine and salt. Cook turkey sausage to an internal temperature of 165 F (60 C).
  • 2. Assemble the plate with 117 gm (4 oz) scoop of mashed potatoes, place 3 link sausages to the side and cover with 30 g (1 oz) of carmelized onions.
  • 3. Finish with 45 ml (1.5 fl oz) of poultry gravy poured over the top of the dish.
  • 4. Garnish with finely chopped, fresh herbs (not included in nutritional analysis).

Suggested Accompaniments

Serve with green peas and/or carrots (not included in the nutritional analysis).
