Turkey Sausage Jambalaya

Olive Oil 125 ml 4.2 Fl oz
Garlic, Chopped 25 ml 1.7 tbsp
Rice, Brown 350 g 12.3 oz
Maple Leaf Cooked Skinless Turkey Sausage, Sliced diagonally 12 Each 12 Each
Mixed Vegetables, Frozen 750 ml 3.2 cups
Salsa, Medium 750 ml 3.2 cups
Water 700 ml 3 cups
Shrimp, 30-40, IQF, Peeled and deveined, Tails removed 1.25 kg 2.75 lbs


  • 1. In large pot, heat oil over medium high heat for 1 minute. Add garlic, rice and sausage and heat for 5 to 7 minutes or until sausage internal temperature reaches 75°C (170°F) .
  • 2. Add mixed vegetables, salsa and water. Cover and continue to heat over medium-high heat until rice begins to soften.
  • 3. Add shrimp to rice and continue to cook over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until shrimp is cooked and sausage internal temperature reaches 75° C (170°F).

Suggested Accompaniments

Garnish with finely chopped coriander.

Serve on bed of steamed greens.
