Pulled Beef Stroganoff

Schneiders Pulled Beef 1.5 Kg 3.3 Lbs
Mushrooms, Fresh, Sliced 750 mL 3.2 cups
Canola Oil 50 mL 1.7 fl oz
Onions, Fresh, Diced 175 g 6.1 oz
Beef Gravy 1 L 4.2 cups
Prepared Mustard 30 mL 2 tbsp
White Pepper 5 mL 1 tsp
Sour Cream, 1% 300 mL 10.1 Fl oz
Green Onions, Finely Chopped 25 g 0.9 oz

Method

  • 1. In a large pot, heat oil and add diced onions. Saute for 5 minutes. Add pulled beef, sliced mushrooms and saute another 5 minutes. Beef should reach a temperature of 160 F/70C.
  • 2. Add the beef gravy, white pepper and mustard, bring to a simmer, cook for 10-15 minutes to allow flavours to combine and vegetables to become very tender.
  • 3. Just prior to service, stir in the sour cream.
  • 4. Garnish with finely chopped green onions.

Suggested Accompaniments

Serve with buttered noodles and autumn (root) vegetables.
