Open-faced Onion Pot Roast Bun

Maple Leaf Pot Roast 1.5 kg 3 lbs 2 oz
Kaiser Bun 25 Each 25 Each
Dijon Mustard 175 ml 5.9 Fl oz
Cheese, Cheddar, Low-Fat, Shredded 750 ml 3.2 cups
Carmelized Onions 750 g 1.6 lbs


  • 1. Preheat oven to 177°C (350°F).
  • 2. Heat pot roast for 20-25 minutes, until internal temperature of 71°C (160°F).
  • 3. Spread bottom half of Kaiser buns with 10 ml (2 tsp) mustard. Top with 60 g (2 oz) pot roast, 30 ml (2 tbsp) each shredded cheese and onions.
  • 4. Place in oven and bake for 6 to 8 minutes or until cheese is melted. Place on plate and top with roll. Serve immediately.

Suggested Accompaniments

Garnish with pickled vegetables.

Serve with German potato salad.
