|Tomato Sauce||1.2 L||5.1 cups|
|Parmesan Cheese, grated||50 g||1.8 oz|
|Salt (add to tomato sauce)||20 mL||1.3 Tbsp|
- Combine the shredded cabbages and onions for colour effect. Add salt, Parmesan cheese and garlic powder to the tomato sauce.
- In a large pan, layer the ingredients in the following order, cover the bottom of the pan with a thin layer of tomato sauce, add the shredded cabbage and 1/2 of the remaining tomato sauce. Add the shaved steak over the cabbage. Top with the remaining tomato sauce.
- Cover pan(s) with foil and bake in a preheated 350 F oven for 45 minutes or until the cabbage is tender, heating the beef to an internal temperature of 165 F (74 C).
Garnish with finely shredded carrrot or red pepper for colour.
Serve with pasta or steamed rice.
