Onions, chopped | 225 g | 7.9 oz |
Celery, chopped | 225 g | 7.9 oz |
Carrots, diced | 207 g | 7.9 oz |
Marinara sauce | 1 L | 4.2 cups |
White sauce or alfredo sauce, prepared | 1 L | 4.2 cups |
Peas, frozen. thawed | 1 kg | 2.2 lbs |
Cut pasta, whole wheat, cooked as directed, drained | 3 kg | 6.6 lbs |
Parmesan Cheese, grated | 45 ml | 3 tbsp |
Method
- Place Maple Leaf Meatballs in 2 steam table pans. Cover and thaw in refrigerator.
- Heat oil in large pan. Sauté onions, celery and carrots in heated oil, 5-7 minutes or until tender.
- Sprinkle over meatballs.
- Combine Marinara and white sauces and pour over meatballs. (half per pan)
- Stir in peas and cooked pasta. (half per pan)
- Cover and bake in 350°F (180°C) oven 55-60 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 170°F (75°C).
Suggested Accompaniments
Garnish with Parmesan cheese.
Serve with cooked rice, pasta, egg noodles or mashed potatoes and a colourful vegetable.
