| Mushrooms, sliced | 350 g | 12.3 oz |
| Garlic, Minced | 12 g | 0.4 oz |
| Beef Gravy, GF Lo Na- made with water | 1.25 l | 5.3 cups |
| Paprika | 15 mL | 1 tbsp |
| Black Pepper | 2 mL | 0.5 tsp |
| Basil (fresh) | 5 g | 0.2 oz |
Method
- Take salisbury steaks and score outside on a charbroiler or marked grill. Cut in half and pan in large hotel pans.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions and saute for 3-5 minutes. Add mushroomsand garlic, continue to cook for another 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender.
- Add beef gravy (or demi-glace) to large skillet and cook for 5 minutes until flavours incorporate. Finish with fresh basil sliced thin.
- Pour sauce evenly over the salisbury steaks in the large hotel pans. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 325 F until salisbury steak is has reached a temperature of 160 F/ 70 C and flavours have come together. Approximately 20 minutes.
