|Olive Oil, Extra Virgin||45 ml||1.5 fl oz|
|Onions, Fresh, Diced||375 g||13.2 oz|
|Mushrooms, sliced||350 g||12.3 oz|
|Garlic, Minced||12 g||0.4 oz|
|Beef Gravy, GF Lo Na- made with water||1.25 l||5.3 cups|
|Paprika||15 mL||1 tbsp|
|Black Pepper||2 mL||0.5 tsp|
|Basil (fresh)||5 g||0.2 oz|
- Take salisbury steaks and score outside on a charbroiler or marked grill. Cut in half and pan in large hotel pans.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions and saute for 3-5 minutes. Add mushroomsand garlic, continue to cook for another 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender.
- Add beef gravy (or demi-glace) to large skillet and cook for 5 minutes until flavours incorporate. Finish with fresh basil sliced thin.
- Pour sauce evenly over the salisbury steaks in the large hotel pans. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 325 F until salisbury steak is has reached a temperature of 160 F/ 70 C and flavours have come together. Approximately 20 minutes.
