| Marinara Sauce (tomato sauce) | 850 ml | 3.6 cups |
| Black Pepper, ground | 3 ml | 1/2 tsp |
| Parmesan Cheese, ground | 400 g | 14 oz |
Method
- Build the turkey dish but placing turkey patties on a baking sheet, leaving a space between each. Heat in a 350 F oven. Cook turkey burger to an internal temperature of 165 F (60 C).
- In a large pot, heat oil. Add onions, all peppers and saute for 5 minutes. Add sliced mushrooms and saute until tender. Add marinara tomato sauce and simmer for 10 minutes to blend flavours. Season with pepper. Remove and set aside.
- Plate each turkey burger and top with 60 ml (2 fl oz) of the milanese sauce. Garnish with a sprinkling of parmesan cheese by sprinkling over the top of the final dish.
Suggested Accompaniments
Serve with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli/green beans (sides not included in the nutritional information).
