Method
- Cut each burger in half as they are going into a hot dog bun. Heat burger halves on a preheated outdoor barbecue or arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in a pre-heated oven until the burgers have reached an internal temperature of 165 F (74 C). Heat the cheese sauce in a pot separately for assembly.
- Build each burger dog by splitting a hot dog bun open, placing the two burger halves inside, end-to-end. Top each burger dog with 30 ml (2 Tbsp) of crispy onion chips (flakes) and garnishing with a 15 ml (1 Tbsp) swirl of hot cheese sauce ladled over the top.
Suggested Accompaniments
Garnish with ketchup and mustard. Serve with potato chips and craw, crisp vegetables (not included in nutritional analysis).
